The Browne Jenkyn Page

Welcome to Browne Jenkyn's online lair. Browne Jenkyn performs traditional music of the British Isles, as well as more recent and original pieces written in the traditional style. Their repertoire consists of songs of adventure, love and betrayal, death and the other world; along with a vast array of instrumental numbers including jigs, reels, waltzes and marches.

Their rustic, often dark sound is evocative of the woods and fields, festivals and beliefs found among the ancient peoples of the British Isles. BROWNE JENKYN weaves a colorful tapestry of folklore and music to stir the imagination.

Members of the group are:
  • Del Merritt - mandolin, bouzouki, bodhran, lap dulcimer, vocals
  • Dave Merritt - bodhran, hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, percussion
  • Eileen Eggert - tin whistles, flute, fife, bodhran, vocals
